Join our discipleship course

Good news for anyone interested in going deeper into the Christian faith. We are running a discipleship course which will appeal to folks who, are newbies or, are at a spiritual crossroads or, whose experience so far (perhaps after several years), leaves them still thirsting to move on in faith and knowledge. So why not come and join in with other like minded Christians and enjoy the fellowship of those on a similar journey?

We will meet each Wednesday evening at 7.30pm starting 30th September 2026. Each week will cover a different subject and will involve paper handout/study aids which the user can keep. After collecting these over a period of time, the material can be built up into a study pack to refer to in future. The course will involve subject headings with Scripture references for group study and discussion. Also, any questions which arise during the session will be addressed and may result in an expansion of the subject for a later session. We believe this interactive method will help folks to retain more knowledge than if they were to just sit and listen to a speaker.

Folks from other churches are welcome to join us whilst retaining membership of their existing fellowships. So if you have been a Christian for some time or are a beginner, there will be an opportunity to enrich your faith. In the first session we will be looking at prayer. Why not come along and see for yourself, staring at 7.30pm Wednesday 30th September at Kirkhall Lane Independent Methodist Church (opposite Home Bargain Store).
